11/28 - Wonderful Life Gets Set
Well, I've been blessed with an opportunity to do a full-length one-person stage version of the iconic film It's A Wonderful Life. I am absolutely terrified AND incalculably excited to take on what is probably the most Herculean challenge of my career. It's been quite a truncated rehearsal process and lots of memorizing, and we are now just days away from previewing. Get ready for the holiday season, y'all, it starts NOW.

9/29 - Mr. Burns, a post-electric play
First off, one of my all-time favorite shows EVER is The Simpsons. The show premiered the year I was born and has continued to be a huge presence in my life to this very day. Just as many others, I have not known life without The Simpsons. Their cultural influence goes unquestioned, but one wonders what would happen to a show when taken past modern day and into the apocalypse. Mr. Burns, a post-electric play attempts to answer that very question and it is an absolute dream for me to be able to help tell this story. We've just completed our first week of rehearsals for this show, (opening at ACT in October) and it is challenging in many ways and wonderfully rewarding in just as many other ways. Can't wait to open!

2/19 - We Are Proud to Present...Gearing up for March 12th Opening!
Taking the assistant directing chair for the first time, I am proud to announce that we are deep in rehearsals for this incredibly challenging and eerily relevant play, We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known As Southwest Africa, From the German Sudewestafrika, Between the Years 1884 and 1915.
Jackie Sibblies Drury's We Are Proud to Present brings together an ensemble of actors to create a play about a long forgotten, or possibly never remembered, genocide the first genocide of the 20th century. As this multi-racial theatre company grapples with how to properly tell a story from another time, another country, they find it leads them much closer to home than they'd like; asking the question, how can you ever tell a story fully when only one side was taking notes? Although about an event in Africa over 100 years ago, this unexpectedly funny and unsettlingly accurate play is the theatre we need in America right now.
The show runs March 12 – April 4 and is the Seattle Premiere!

11/5 - Theatre Southwest's 10th Annual Readers Theatre
Theatre Southwest in Houston, Texas is gearing up for their 10th Annual Readers Theatre event. A one-night spectacular, the Readers Theatre features staged readings of short plays. This year, my short play A Big Tree and a Dead Guy was selected as one of the plays to be given a staged reading! The event will take place on November 16th at Theatre Southwest!
About the Play:
Two park rangers are called out to the big Crystal-Poplar tree in their park when reports are made of a dead body in the tree. Once there, they must figure out what to do, fetch it out themselves? Call the authorities? A little dark comedy, a little Beckett-Existentialism, A Big Tree and a Dead Guy is a fun exploration of life and death.

There's a great new web series sweeping the interwebs and it's set right here in our very own Seattle, Washington! I had a chance to hang out on set for a day and do some background filming awhile back and I had a blast. I'm not in this episode, but if you don't know about "Capitol Hill", y'all should subscribe and start watchin'! Here is the latest episode to be released with new episodes coming every Monday.
Hey everyone! I've been hard at work on new music, slowly but surely putting together my next album. Here is the latest song titled "LIKE ME", featuring the wonderful Amanda Clanton on the chorus. If you dig it, please spread the word...or tunes, rather! =P Much love!
